- LR = LONG RANGE: the transmitters can cover almost DOUBLE the current distance thanks to another electronics FAAC patent; the SLH LONG RANGE transmitter, whenever the control buttons are pushed, detects the surrounding environment in real time (e.g. position of the hand, presence of electrical disturbances, etc.) and automatically reconfigures the electronics, maximising the radiated power at each transmission. Fully compatible with previous SLH.

This can result in more consistent and reliable signal performance, particularly in densely built suburban and urban environments.
The combination of the 868MHz frequency band and the SLH long-range antenna design delivers extended transmission distances compared to standard receivers. This makes the system ideal for properties with long driveways, large setbacks from the road, or sites where obstacles such as walls, fences, or dense vegetation reduce the effective range of standard frequency systems.
The SLH rolling code protocol generates a completely new encrypted code with every single button press on the transmitter. Even if the transmitted signal were intercepted, the captured code would be immediately invalid and could not be used to trigger the gate. This provides robust protection against the relay attacks and code-grabbing techniques commonly used to compromise residential gate systems.
The 868MHz system requires 868MHz SLH-compatible FAAC transmitters — it is not interchangeable with 433MHz transmitters. If you are upgrading from a 433MHz system, new transmitters will be needed. We supply the correct transmitters and programme them to the new receiver as part of the installation or upgrade service.
